As we establish our surgical clinic in Tanzania we will begin to organize surgical teams that will visit regularly. Each team will be comprised of at least one surgeon experienced in SIMCS technique as well as those who may be at the beginning of the learning curve. And if you are not a surgeon we can still use your help screening patients. The surgical site is located at the base of Kilimanjaro and within driving distance of several spectacular wildlife parks, allowing perfect opportunity to combine your outreach trip with some sightseeing or a safari. Our goal is to develop a growing cohort of experienced SIMCS surgeons who choose to return every few years (or every few months if you happen to fall in love with Tanzania) so that we can maintain a steady and predictable surgical calendar. If you have even the slightest interest in participating in a trip, sign up for our contact list. We will begin to assemble our teams at least four months in advance of each trip and we will notify you by email so that you can be aware of open spots. You should also follow us on facebook to keep informed of opportunities to serve.
